Custom figured koa kitchen cabinetry with marble island by Eclipse Craftworks
Custom Cabinetry & Architectural Woodwork | Durham, NC

Built by hand.
Defined by detail.

We design and fabricate custom cabinetry, architectural woodwork, and acoustic treatment furniture. Each piece is shaped around your space, your vision, and the way you live.

Our Approach

Three things we never
compromise on

Every project we take on is governed by the same set of principles, whether it's a full kitchen build or a single architectural panel.

01

Joinery & Craft

Dovetails, mortise-and-tenon, precision-milled dados. We use the right joint for the right application. CNC capability meets hand-finishing to produce work that's both precise and alive.

02

Material Integrity

We source hardwoods from regional mills, specify marine-grade plywood for wet environments, and use finishing systems rated for the demands of each installation. No composites where solid wood belongs.

03

Custom Design

Nothing is pulled from a catalog. Every dimension is taken from your space, every profile drawn for your project, every finish selected with your interior in mind. This is millwork made singular.

Materials

We start with real wood

White Oak

Tight, straight grain with natural warmth. Takes stain and clear finishes beautifully. Our most requested species for kitchen cabinetry.

Black Walnut

Rich chocolate tones with flowing grain patterns. A premium domestic hardwood that makes a statement in any room.

Hard Maple

Pale cream with subtle figure. Extremely dense and durable. Ideal for painted finishes and high-wear surfaces.

Cherry

Warm amber that deepens with age and sunlight. Fine, even grain that finishes to a glass-smooth surface.

Figured Koa

Golden tones with dramatic chatoyance. Sourced from Hawaii, this exotic species produces extraordinary visual depth.

The difference between furniture and cabinetry is a decision, not a limitation.

What people say after the install

We build long-term relationships because we build things that last. Here's what a few of our clients have shared.

"We gutted a 1940s bungalow kitchen and Eclipse built every cabinet from scratch. The shaker doors in white oak are stunning. The fit and finish rival anything we've seen in a showroom, and the soft-close drawers are the detail our guests always notice."
Margaret R. Durham, NC | Kitchen Renovation
"I needed acoustic treatment for my home studio that didn't look like a recording booth. Eclipse and Brett Acoustics designed built-in diffusion and absorption panels that function perfectly, and visitors just see beautiful woodwork."
David W. Chapel Hill, NC | Home Studio
"Our master closet went from a single rod and shelf to a fully custom walk-in. Dedicated shoe storage, pull-out drawers, a built-in island. It feels like a boutique. The craftsmanship is impeccable."
Sarah K. Raleigh, NC | Walk-In Closet
